UToledo Biofluidics is a research lab in the Department of Bioengineering, College of Engineering, at the University of Toledo, led by Dr. Yuan Tang, Ph.D. We build microfluidic and nanotechnology-based platforms to study disease and improve diagnosis and treatment. Current work includes vascularized organ-on-a-chip models for drug screening, a gut–brain axis on a chip, and electrochemical biosensors that use aptamers and DNA nanostructures for virus detection.
